Natfish - NSW North Coast TAFE

Natfish is located at Trenayr Campus, 10 km north of Grafton on the North Coast of NSW. We specialise in flexible distance courses for the seafood and marine industries, allowing participation by people from a wide range of geographic areas and backgrounds. We have been recognised as one of Australia’s premier providers by the Institute for Trade Skills Excellence, being awarded three gold stars under it’s Star Rating Scheme.

The marine studies program provides an introduction to working in a broad range of marine industries. Students gain practical skills in working on boats, aquatic animal care knowledge of marine organisms and the environment. Career options may include deckhand/ research assistant/eco tourism guide on dive, charter, research, fishing or environmental monitoring vessels. The course is taught using a blend of distance delivery and hands-on practical workshop blocks. Printed and online materials are supported by telephone and email contact with teachers.
