Underwater Recommendations
Most shops from Fremantle offer daytrips to Rottnest Island. The Leeuwin current coming down the coast warms the waters around the island. An exciting mix of both temperate and tropical species can be found here. The marine life includes hard and soft corals, sponges, morwong, scalyfins, wobbegongs and different butterfly fish and of course, plenty of Crayfish.
Around the island a few wrecks can be found. Very complete, something for everyone.
Besides all this exciting marine life it is also possible to start your diving career right here in Fremantle with the possibility of doing your commercial diving certificate.
