Jervis Bay is the village and area attached to HMAS Creswell, a Naval training College on Jervis Bay. It is home to the Booderee National Park and botanic gardens.

Its most famous beach, Greenpatch Beach the views are spectacular and picturesque with the contrast of HMAS Creswell nestled serenely amongst the natural bush and sea landscape. The sweeping water views of Jervis Bay with its glistening sunlit colours of aqua and blue against striking white beaches complete the view.

Jervis Bay is one of the true gems of the NSW south east region and its value to Australia has been recognised by its National Park status. It's breathtaking beauty, rich cultural and natural significance have long been recognised and appreciated by locals and by domestic and overseas visitors.

Jervis Bay is reputed to have the clearest waters and whitest sands in not only this country but also in the world. These beautiful blue waters are home to many dolphins and the opportunity to sight these graceful locals is one of the major features that make this area a magnet for lovers of nature. Whale sighting is also frequent in Jervis Bay and the choices of water sports here are wide. Many people come to dive, fish and explore these famous waters.

Underwater Recommendations

Although there are a few good shore dives you can do in Jervis Bay, the boat dives come highly recommended. There are some great (deeper) dive sites just out of the bay if weather permits to go out there. Don’t worry though because just inside the bay there are some more fantastic sites. You can’t loose!
Boulders and walls are encrusted with colourful sponges, bryozoans, anemones and sea tulips. Swim into caverns, caves and through magnificent swim- throughs and have close encounters with large stingrays, Wobbegong Sharks and cuttlefish. Weedy Seadragons and Bleeker’s Blue Devil are somewhat more elusive. In cracks and under ledges moray eels and Port Jackson Sharks have found shelter.
