Lady Musgrave Island

Hi

How could I find out about the camping / diving holidays on this island?

I heard that it is possible to organize a group, but I am trying to find out if there is a governing body through whom I can find out if there are groups booked for certain periods in the year and if there are contacts for those groups so we could join them.

Friends of ours did Northwest Island nearby quite cheaply two years ago for two weeks and loved it, however, everyone reckons that Lady Musgrave has better life??///

Any help or suggestion is sincerely appreciated.
Cheers

Akos

Hi Akos...

Lady Musgrave is a great spot to go out diving.... camping needs to be organised through national parks but the various boats that go out there may be able to do this for you... I think the cost for the permit is $4 a night... There are two companies that offer transfers on a regular basis... If you contact me at http://www.1770underseaadventures.com I can point you in the right direction. Air fills can be organised off the various boats that go out there if you don't have your own compressor....

Hope this has been of some help...

Don

Our hosts greeted us warmly at the jetty. Both Kit and I were still jetlagged and slightly overwhelmed at the welcome. A small kava ceremony was given to us and after a brief tour and chat we made our way to dress for dinner.
