Underwater G.P.S. for divers?

Could anyone tell me if they make a g.p.s. for divers

It is difficult to use GPS underwater for two reasons.
The first one is due to the fact that GPS uses radar waves in the 1.5 Ghz band and those waves do not propagate in sea water.
The second difficulty is linked to the fact that GPS is quite greedy in data communications. Each satellite continuously transmit data such as ephemerids. In the water data transmission using acoustics waves is very limited in range, data flow and reliability.

Some High price gear consists of a surface float with a GPS RX on it. The float is connected to the diver below via cable and display unit. Teh unit only displays the location of the bouy, not the diver. So accuarcy is a bit dodgy.
