Hi I plan to go to sipidan. Want fly to KL and then use AirAsia to fly to Tawau. I heard a few bad things about that AirAsia. Anybody used that airline and was it ok to fly with AirAsia ?

Cheers Matt

I used AirAsia (AA) 2 years ago, from Kuala Lumpur to Kelantan (the hopping point to Perhentian Islands). The service is OK, nothing special. Keep in mind that they are budget airlines, so you get what you paid for. Departure is delayed 20 minutes but that's about it. So it depends a lot on your personal expectation. I understand that many european travellers not used to delays, while for us living in this region-it's something "normal".

Sipidan diving is crowded, unfriendly dive-shops and yes some good dive sites. I will not return there because of the overcrowding and bad service and over pricing.

Keep surfacing safely.

May your bubbles be silent.
