Hi Mate

For a Working Instructor here in QLD is between $120 -$150 pr day , but for that most dive centers wants you to take the Max number of Students.. I am a Padi but SSI centers pay simular ( probably worth doing the Crossover Exam ) not that expensive and SSI and Padi are almost the Same Now anyway , this would Make you Much more Employable everywhere ..

Hi Tracee,

I am a dive instructor working in Thailand and one thing I often say to new instructors coming over to work is to remember about all the hidden costs! For example visa requirements, equipment upkeep, dive insurance etc. over here we have to get and pay a lot of money for work permits, which is different in Oz, but check on the requirements for yourself if you are not an Australian national.

Remember aswell that the chances are you are not going to make your millions in the industry, but we do it for the love of the job and having an office with a view second to non!!!

If you have any other questions, or you want more information on diving/working in Thailand then please do not hesitate to contact me!

Happy diving Emma
