Dear Underwater Photographers,
I am currently writing the first book about manta rays, especially for divers and underwater enthusiasts. Are you as fascinated as I am by these elegant, harmless marine creatures? Have you taken any outstanding, impressive or special pictures of manta rays?
Then I would love to publish your pictures in my book!
Your interest should lie in having your favorite shot and your name printed in a professional environment – as I cannot offer you any money as remuneration.
That sounds interesting to you? Then contact me: berrybeersen@yahoo.com
I am looking for the following contents in the pictures:
- One or more individual mantas in one shot, whatever you find special or just beautiful.
- Photos of mantas with shark bites and also of mantas with shark bite marks that have grown back.
- A manta that swims straight in a direct line towards the camera? I want to show the way mantas move their wings while swimming (photo, screenshot taken from movie, or movie itself).
- Feeding manta(s).
- Close up of mouth and inside mouth.
- Close up of eyes.
- Close up of tail and end of tail (open wound, red raw).
- Close up of base of the tail (a small pit at the base of their tail where the spine used to be).
- Close up of pelvic fins (underside, at base of tail, the two flaps).
- Close up of skin.
- Close up of genitals, male and/or female.
- Close up of cephalic lobes (to both sides of the mouth), opened up and furled up.
- Close up of mating scars.
- Pictures of pushing stomach out.
- Chasing and mating (pictures and movies)
- Jumping manta(s).
- Pregnant manta(s).
- Different manta species.
I would be happy to receive a preview of your photos in screen-size and "email quality". However, please only send pictures which you can also provide in print quality (300dpi with a minimum size of 5cmx5cm).
Thanks a million in advance to all enthusiastic underwater photographers for your support!
