Canon G10 powershot

Does anyone use the canon g10 power-shot with Canon UW housing (i think the model is dc 28..?) or have anything they can tell me about their performance underwater.

I am an intermediate level UW photographer, looking to upgrade from my Olympus mju 770. Also wondering how my Sealife SL961D strobe will go with the canon set-up.

Many Thanks,

Kristen.

hi Kristen, i just bought the canon g10, now i'm researching housings for it, i found out that the Canon WP-DC28 is limited. you can attach strobe to it, like the one you mentioned (SL961D strobe)but you can not add lenses like a wide angle or any other kind of lenses. which makes me think of trying to come up with some money to buy more expensive housing like the FIXG10 or the Ikelite, just because in the future when i need room to improve my skills. i'm too an intermediate level UW photographer. i dint try the G10 UW yet but i am expecting nice pics, just because it take amazing pics on land, and you can play a lot with the settings on it.

i hope i was helpful plz if you have any advice from your side of the research share it with me i'm still learning.

Best Regards Mohamed

Don't know if you are still following this thread, but I have a G10 and Canon UW housing and they are great. I use an INON D2000 strobe and have got some first class results. The G10 is far more flexible than an SLR setup for the learner as you can do macro, wide angel and movies at the flick of a switch. Unless you want to make living from uw photography you will take prize winning pics with this unit. Enjoy Reg
